The purpose of this site is to share information on transportation projects and planning efforts along and around the RM 150 Corridor in Hays County, Texas.

Hays County has experienced rapid growth and this is projected to continue over the next 20 years. By planning ahead, the County can coordinate and work together with those that live and work here to provide a thoughtful network of transportation options that preserve the unique character and quality of life the community values.

RM 150

​

RM 150 is currently a two-lane roadway in Central Texas that extends from RM 12 in Dripping Springs through Kyle to I-35 and beyond. It is one of three primary routes that runs from east to west through Hays County and supports movements through the County to and from the I-35 corridor.

An improvement project that will widen Darden Hill Road from RM 1826 to Sawyer Ranch Road. The project includes an interim three-lane section and an ultimate four-lane section, as well as intersection improvements, turn lanes, and a new roundabout intersection.

A study of the extension of the RM 150 Corridor and development of a divided arterial roadway with two lanes in each direction from RM 12 around the southwest side of Dripping Springs to US 290 near the area of Holder Lane.

DRIFTWOOD BYPASS CONCEPT

A concept plan completed in 2020 to identify a likely route alignment with preliminary drainage to provide an alternate for RM 150 traffic around Driftwood. The County is working to determine next steps and more information will be shared as it becomes available.
